| THE TRANSLATION PROCESS | THE LOCALIZATION PROCESS |
|
1. Prepare Source Documents. After receiving a translation order, formats are examined. If necessary, materials are previously prepared for translation. 2. Translation. After a complete reading-through, translation starts to faithfully transfer not only the message and its meaning in context, but also the nuances and different registers. 3. Edition Draft translation is exhaustively edited: orthography, grammar, terminology consistency, style and formats. Should the complexity of the text recommend it, editing will be commissioned to other expert colleagues. |
Website, video game and software localization process goes beyond content translation. Target language and code need to be embedded in, among others, RC, EXE or HTML files. Besides, localization:
Therefore, translators specialized in localization must have many extralinguistic skills so that they can enter further phases of the process, among others:
|
| 1- Quality | 2- Natural written expression |
High quality translations. Based on suitable training and experience, I qualify for undertaking most translation orders I receive. |
Many times, translated text lacks the natural fluent expression desirable in the target language. Translators must be skilled to offer a fluent expression in their own language. This is the only way in which sense, nuances and register of the source text can be tranferred accurately to the Spanish version, through a natural, fluent expression adapted to its target audience. |
| 3- Meeting deadlines | 4- Reliability |
Jobs are always delivered by the deadline. My daily output is generally 2, 000-2,500 words, although it fluctuates depending on the translation's complexity, the need for advanced terminology searches and the originals' formats. If you have a high volume or urgent job, I can set collaboration with other colleagues. In all cases, your translation will be delivered by the agreed deadline. |
My job is based on my clients' confidence. Since the proposal is received, your documents are dealt with absolute confidentiality. Your translation jobs always in good hands.
